* So sad, this is one of the worst gigs I´ve seen. I really loved Benoit David´s vocals on the new album, but live he didn´t cut it. They cancelled some shows soon after this, presumably since he was ill. They should have cancelled this one too. Sad day.

*Awesome gig, I was by the barrier on the left and enjoyed every second of Alice´s gig. New York Dolls were ok, they seemed a bit tired but I liked a couple of their songs. It was crazy to get to see Arthur Brown join Alice onstage and have Alice singing background, very cool indeed! Let´s hope this gig turns up as an official DVD, it´s the best tour I have seen Alice do since 2001. Also, I had a VIP-ticket so I got to meet Alice afterwards. 17 years since our last meeting I thought it was about time… A splendid time was had by all.

* Tour premiere for the band´s very last tour. The crowd were good, and they wouldn´t let the band leave so they did a real encore with Balladen om lilla Elsa, that one was not on the setlist. Nice atmos. I missed both supporting acts which don´t bother me at all.

*The band´s last gig in Malmö, and a pretty good one. The festivalcrowd is always a bunch of inbred hicks but I enjoyed myself nonetheless. Too bad this first gig for me will also be my last. I also the second caught half of Maskinens gig. I was not impressed.

* Absolutely brilliant. And to all you hip youngsters, waving your arms and singing along – the devil comes in a disguise. The best thing about a fool is that he never understands when he´s being fooled.

*Absolutely stunning gig, marred only by the appearance of opening act guitarist Sören Andersen during Burn which he ruined totally. I would rather have heard Joe do the solo than this clown of a guitarist who seemed to have no idea whatsoever about which song he was playing. In any case it was a GREAT gig, the epics were simply fantastic: Save me, Song of yesterday and The battle for Hadrian´s wall.

*Yet another classic gig by Accept. This was a one-off clubgig for the band after having played the Getaway festival the day before. For some reason the intro started and was turned off again after a couple of seconds, the restarted 30 seconds later. Have no idea why. Some guy on setlist.fm claims they played Amamos La Vida – I wish they had but alas, they did not. Absolutely smashing night anyway!

* Absolutely brilliant. I´ve seen the musical genius Kleerup in various incarnations over the years, mainly performing with Robyn, but with this band he´s gone and created something that feel´s fresh but with a vintage touch. Definitely a great act, be sure to catch them!

* I was quite apprehensive about the setlist, but my fears went unfounded. After a shaky start the gig took a turn for the better with Coming home, and then the place EXPLODED with The trooper! The sheer joy from the band combined with an appreciative (or fanatically devoted) audience made this one of the best Maidengigs I´ve seen during the last 10 years. Even better than 2008, when the setlist was way better. Nice! Coming home was the only new song I liked though, all the others sound the same to me with loooong soft intros, then they kick in, then solo, then soft again. And one thing – what the FUCK is up with the Satellite 15-intro? 4 minutes of nothing but total crap. It sucks on the album and it was waaay to long in a livesetting. Apart from that – stunning gig. (About the supports – I would have loved to see Graveyard but I´ll wait until i can see them in an intimate setting. And Sabaton just plain sucks.)

* You can´t go wrong with Neal. Almost 3 hours of breathtaking, aweinspiring music. And the new Testimony 2 in it´s entirety, well, top THAT will ya? Venue changed at last minute from Koko to the Kings College, a very small and intimate venue with GREAT sound. I guess it had to do with ticketsales, but while I feel sorry for Neal I can´t help feeling a bit selfishly happy since it was fantastic to experience Neal in this intimate setting. I hope he felt that too, and I think he did.

* Having once been my favourite band, QR doesn´t impress me anymore. I arrived at this gig during the end of At 30,000 feet, and I got to hear Lady and Walk which were cool, but overall the performance lacked enthusiasm from the band and Geoff´s voice is totally shot these days. Sad.

*Brilliant if underrehearsed gig. Shot for DVD, finally we´ll get some Notre Dame on DVD! Bassplayer/vocalist Hellinor did a heck of a job!

* Finally I got to see Doro after 24 years of waiting and longing! It was a great gig, even the Dio-cover actually had it´s place in the set preceded by a beautiful speech by Doro. I loved every second of the gig, and the three encores after All we are were audiencerequests. Cool. I accidentally saw a couple of songs with Bai Bang too. So sorry. It won´t happen again.

*What a night. What a dream come true. What a beautiful venue and respectful crowd. I am still in awe,a truly fantastic gig if there ever was one. I got the setlist from setlist.fm and the Beethoven-part looks alright but I will say that I am not entirely sure about the encores. All posts on setlist.fm shows Another way to be BETWEEN Carmina Burana and Chance, whereas in Amsterdam it was played BEFORE those two songs. First I doubted my own memory but a video popped up showing this to be right. Therefore I cannot at present say if the rest of the encores are totally right since I didn´t know all their names. Stay tuned for updates.

*Picture it. Amager Bio, a fairly sized venue in the southeast part of Copenhagen. It´s a bit chilly outside even though the day has been quite beautiful. For the first time in 18 years the moon is at it´s closest to earth, a mere 35000 swedish (or danish) miles away. Once inside it´s a seated concert, you´re in the front row exactly in the middle. Fish enters the stage, in a good mood but also worried. He dedicates the concert to the fighters and survivors in Libya.

Sometimes it feels as if you´re watching the concert from above, almost like having an out-of-body experience. Family business is fantastic. State of mind takes on a new relevance. Jigsaw and Incubus are beautiful. Pilgrim´s address is almost prophetic.

Suddenly Fish jumps down on the floor. He´s standing right in front of you and gives a speech which makes you tingle right down your spine. He ever so slowly walks to the back of the venue. You listen like a child to a storyteller. He pleads, he´s scared but he´s also angry. You take it all in.

Then, Vigil. All that ever was is no more, you´re in the moment. Probably the best moment of your life.

Afterwards, outside the venue. It´s even chillier. You make your way home, the moon glowing like the sun guides your way back home. You don´t know where you will be the next time the moon is this close. It doesn´t matter, really. You only hope to be alive.

*Swedish comedians Brasse and Johan did a new take on Strindbergs classic black-comedy-drama Dance Of Death, a great performance with great staging. The 140 minutes went by so fast it was ridiculous.

*Nice gig with Hans Erik Dyvik Husby, Jack Vreeswijk and a small band including Ola Gustafsson. Hans-Erik is sometimes a spitting image of Cornelis himself, almost eerily so.
